3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
pinch of salt
3 3/4 cups flour
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
1 tbsp. baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Melt the chocolate in a
double boiler. Cream
the butter, then beat in
the sugar and eggs.
Sift together the salt,
flour, cocoa, and
baking powder. Fold into
the cream mixture
alternating with the milk.
Add the vanilla
and refrigerate for 4 hours.
Roll in a cigar
shape and the cut into
rounds.
Bake 10-12 minutes in a
pre-heated 400 degree
oven. Remove from oven
and cool. Makes 2
dozen. Enjoy!
